Film Poster

The main image of our protagonist is placed conventionally in the center of the poster, using direct mode of address. This is effective as it attracts the audience attention allowing them to gain interest in our film. Additionally, to convey the genre drama the protagonist's face is half coved by the hair, which indicates the vulnerability and fragility of the character.

The tone of the poster for “ONE DAY” appears dark and cold further illustrating the film is filled with heartbreaks and emotions conforming to drama.

The film title is the biggest text on the poster as it’s the most important text it needs to stand out. Halo effect of the font is eye-catching and intriguing because it appears inviting for the audience encouraging them to come on the emotional journey of the characters in the film, with an open mind.

In majority film posters the billing block is placed at the bottom of the page, we also implicated this into our film poster, so it doesn’t draw the audience attention away from the main image and title.

Tag line is considered to be one of the fist features of a poster the audience tend to look at.  “Wake up every day with regrets” we placed this at the top of the poster so it’s clearly visible. Furthermore, our tag line is an effective genre indictor  because it  leaves enigmas , which the audience would want answers to therefore  encouraging them to watch our film

As our filming took place during daylight hours, the lighting was inconvenient for the Night scene, however, we overcame this problem by creating our own artificial lighting. We this by using a black blanket to block out the light coming into the room through the window, creating dark lighting perfect for the scene. In addition , when we come to edit the footage we will apply a tint to adjust the lighting to ensure its realistic.
