How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
In the construction and research, planning and evaluation stage media technology played an important role.
Firstly, the site Blogger is significant in my coursework because it's where I published and recorded all of my research and planning process.This site allowed me to track and stay up to date with everything that I have done. Furthermore, I was able to publish information within my control.In addition, I was able to acknowledge my weaknesses and areas of improvement through feedback from others via comments. YouTube is another site, which I used to gain most of my ideas from. The site gave me access to film trailers and the opening to some films, therefore using media terminology I did numerous critical analysis. Through this task, I was able to show my understanding on film conventions and construction.
For my practical task the equipment I used were:

After completing the critical analysis of film genres and it's conventions, my partner and I began to research and plan for our final product (opening two minutes). The majority of our ideas came from the previous tasks where we explored films of different genres. Horror was the genre we both agreed on due...
While coming up with ideas we collected our initial ideas in a mind map form. This concept is a great brainstorming method as we can collaboratively share ideas and narrow down ideas into clear points. An advantage of doing a mindmap is that it's very simple, unlike other methods we can review our ideas faster. In addition, it allows us to think outside of box and be more creative.
Scream was the main inspiration for our film after coming up with the plot
Using tools such as Adobe Premier Elements, a video editing software, allowed us to creatively edit our footage into a final product.
