To achieve a high standard trailer the editing software used is vital. We have decided to use the same software to create our trailer as last years, as we are familiar with it already and understand how to use it effectively. This is an advantage because we can apply our knowledge from last year and also further develop them to create a successful trailer. 

Last year, we used the software Adobe Premiere Elements 10, to create our opening two minutes – Seen 11:59 PM. However, this year we will be using the software Adobe Premiere Elements 15, which is an updated version of the 10 with added features such as extra text styles, transitions etc. to give the footage a smoother and crisp finish. This software is ideal for making and creating professional looking videos and movies, as it provides a clear timeline with audio below to ensure the shots are aligned with the music. Additionally, it has the editing technique stabiliser, which will be useful to reduce shaky footage that is not wanted in our trailer.

Photoshop is an editing, image creation and graphic design software. The software provides numerous image editing features, for both pixel-based images and vector graphics. Using, the layer based editing system it enables image creation and altering with multiple overlays that support transparency.  To create our film poster and magazine we will use Photoshop. The software has become the industry standard and is used by professionals. This, therefore, gives us a chance the experience how upcoming film posters; magazine is created and achieve success in the entertainment business.
